WORLD BANK GROUP PRIVACY NOTICE AND CODE OF CONDUCT CONSENT 

 

Privacy Notice: In order to process your registration application, the World Bank Group needs to collect the following personal data from you: name, email, organization details, nationality, country address and other necessary details. The Bank respects your concerns about privacy and will not share your personal data except as described in this Privacy Notice. The World Bank Group may share your information with other internal entities for administrative and security purposes. We will share necessary personal data with the IMF and our vendor. Your personal information will be securely processed and stored by the Bank and our vendor, Certain, in strict compliance with the Bank’s Privacy Policy. Code of Conduct: The 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group follow strict ethical standards to foster a safe and inclusive environment. All Meetings participants (attendees, visitors, and service providers) are required to uphold the institutions’ core values of integrity, impartiality, honesty, and respect.

All Meetings participants are expected to demonstrate:

• Orderly Conduct: Follow instructions on event participation and access, ensuring a respectful and professional environment for the benefit of all participants and building occupants. Any form of verbal or non-verbal disruption is prohibited, as is the display or carrying of placards, signs, spray cans, banners, or other protest material.
• Respect: Treat individuals with respect regardless of differing opinions. Personal attacks, verbal abuse of any form, or harassment, will not be tolerated. Treat property with respect. Damage to property is prohibited and punishable by law.
• Compliance with the Law: Comply with instructions from security and emergency services personnel, adhere to agreements and laws of the host country, and follow relevant policies and regulations, including health and safety protocols. Meetings participants are not allowed to carry firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed.
• Regard for Cultural Norms: Respect the cultural symbols and traditions of the host country.

Unacceptable Conduct

• Harassment. Any form of harassment will not be tolerated, including verbal or nonverbal abuse, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or disability, and any other unlawful conduct, including harassment carried out through electronic means. Anyone who does not comply with this Code of Conduct will have their badge revoked and access to the Meetings suspended; be referred to appropriate authorities; or undergo other disciplinary action following International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group rules and procedures.

Inappropriate behavior should be reported to the IMF Secretary’s Department (secministerialmeetings@imf.org) or the World Bank Group Corporate Secretariat (MeetingsHR@worldbank.org).
